Talk to Us
We like hearing from readers. Your messages shape what we write next, show us where an explanation fell flat and occasionally catch a mistake we missed. The simplest way to reach us is by email at notes@alzmidsouth.org.
Good reasons to write
- Topic ideas: a question about health, caregiving or family life you would like explained.
- Corrections: a fact that looks wrong, a sentence that reads badly or a detail that has gone out of date.
- Feedback: what helped, what confused you and what you wish an article had covered.
- Privacy requests: anything relating to personal data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
What we cannot help with
We are a small editorial team, not a clinic or advice line. We are not able to:
- give personal medical advice or comment on symptoms;
- interpret test results, scans or prescriptions;
- recommend individual doctors, care homes or care agencies;
- respond to emergencies.
For questions about your own health, please speak to your doctor, midwife or pharmacist. If someone is in danger or seriously unwell, call your local emergency number. Our page A Note on Medical Advice explains why.
Helping us reply properly
A few details make a big difference:
- a clear subject line, such as "Correction" or "Topic idea";
- the address of the article you are writing about, if there is one;
- the exact wording you are referring to;
- anything you would like us to know about how you found the article.
Please leave out detailed medical information about yourself or others. We do not need it to read your message, and we would rather not hold it.
When to expect a reply
We read every email. Most get an answer within a week, though a busy spell can stretch that. Corrections are prioritised, and we follow the steps laid out on Keeping Things Accurate.
Sharing your own experience
Some readers write to tell us how caring for a relative or an early pregnancy has gone for them. We value these notes enormously. They remind us which worries are common and which practical tips actually work in real homes. We will never publish your words or your name without asking you first.
Business enquiries
A product or service named in one of our articles is not a guarantee that it suits the person you care for. If you are writing about a commercial proposal, keep it brief and accept that we may not reply.
