Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to information about you when you read Alz MidSouth Wellness or write to us. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we do not track you, and we do not sell or share anything for marketing.
Who is responsible
The site is run by the small independent editorial team behind Alz MidSouth Wellness. For any privacy question, write to the address shown on our Talk to Us page.
A static website
Every page here is a pre-built file delivered as it is. There are no user accounts, no comment system, no login and no database of readers. You can read every article without telling us anything about yourself.
No analytics, advertising or tracking
We do not use analytics software, advertising networks, social media pixels, fingerprinting or any other tool that follows you across pages or sites. We do not build reader profiles, and we have no way to see which articles you personally have opened.
Your cookie banner choice
When you first visit, a small banner asks about cookies. Whichever button you press, your answer is saved in your own browser's local storage so the banner does not keep coming back. That stored value never leaves your device and is not sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser. More detail is on our page Cookie Settings Explained.
Hosting logs
Like any website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers keep brief technical logs of requests. These can include an IP address, the time of the request, the page asked for and basic browser information. The provider uses them to deliver pages, keep the service secure and fix faults. They are kept only for a short period and are not used by us to identify or profile readers.
When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use that only to read and answer your message and, where relevant, to correct or improve an article. Please do not send detailed medical records; we cannot advise on them and would rather not hold them. We delete correspondence once it is no longer needed, and we never add anyone to a mailing list.
Legal basis
Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and in answering the messages people send us.
Your rights
Data protection laws in many places give you some or all of these rights:
- ask what personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- receive a copy of data you gave us;
- take a complaint to the regulator that oversees privacy where you live.
To use any of these rights, email us and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
Children
Our articles are written for adults, and nothing on the site is designed to gather details from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If our setup changes, we will update this page and the date below.
